Biography
Part of the TJCA community since 2022, Barry currently serves as a High School History Teacher and the Head Varsity Football Coach.
His accomplishments include:
- Coaching football at the college and high school level for 38 years, serving as a head coach in North Carolina for 28 years.
- Witnessing more than 100 former players play college football with four of those players playing in the NFL and one winning a Super Bowl.
- Having one of his former players pitch in the World Series and having one be the punter for the NCAA National Champion Florida State.
He earned a:
- Bachelor of Arts in History from Lenoir-Rhyne University
- Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University
Outside of work, Barry enjoys all sports and woodworking. He also enjoys spending time with his two children.
