Biography for Mr. Lanning

Part of the TJCA community since 2025, Kyle is a high school science teacher.

He earned a:

• Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Gardner-Webb University

Kyle has published research titled "Re-Inventory of Fishes in Kings Mountain National Military Park" (National Park Service File 481538). For the past four years, he has taught astronomy and overseen the largest public telescope in the Southeastern United States.

Outside of school, Kyle is most proud to be a husband and dad of three. He is also a touring musician with The Rewind: A Tribute to the 80s, has played guitar for more than 25 years, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
