AVONDALE - Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) has announced a new partnership with Western Carolina University (WCU) that will provide students with expanded opportunities in higher education, the arts, and career exploration.
As part of the collaboration, WCU admissions staff will visit TJCA to meet with students and families during an upcoming on-campus event. In addition, TJCA students, as early as middle school, will have the chance to explore WCU’s campus and learn about unique programs such as Emergency Medical Services, Forensic Science, Nursing, and Robotics Engineering.
The partnership also includes opportunities for TJCA students to attend performances at WCU as part of the school’s commitment to enhancing its arts program. Furthermore, WCU representatives introduced scholarship opportunities such as the Catamount Commitment and Engage Scholarship, offering significant pathways to higher education for TJCA graduates.
Through this collaboration, TJCA continues to provide students with the resources, experiences, and connections to thrive in their future academic and career paths.
