TJCA Secures $700K Grant for Transportation & Technology

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy recently secured $700,000 in funding over a five-year time frame through a North Carolina Access Grant.  This grant, which is only available to charter schools, will provide necessary capital funding for transportation and technology.

The charter school, ranked as one of the top public schools in Western North Carolina, plans to use this funding to broaden access for families in Rutherford, Cleveland, Polk and surrounding counties.

The state of North Carolina received this grant as part of a federal funding initiative in excess of $26 million. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy was selected on the basis of its record as a high-quality charter school and will be grouped among a class of 100 charter school leaders who can develop and demonstrate best practices in reaching a broad range of students.
